Frequently asked questions

How do I get to Rapa Nui?

There are direct flights from Santiago, Chile (about 5 hours). Mataveri Airport is 1.5 km from the cabins: send us your flight and we'll coordinate your arrival.

Do I need any paperwork to enter the island?

Yes. All visitors must complete the Single Entry Form (FUI) before traveling, and tourist stays are limited to 30 days. Once your booking is confirmed we send you the accommodation proof the form requires.

How do I visit the moai and archaeological sites?

Most of them are inside Rapa Nui National Park, which requires an entry ticket. Some sites can only be visited with a certified local guide: we'll help you arrange it.

How do I pay for my booking?

You send your request without paying anything. If the dates are available we confirm, and you have 48 hours to pay a 30% deposit. You pay the balance on arrival.

Can I cancel?

Yes. Cancel up to 15 days before arrival and we refund your full deposit. After that date the deposit is non-refundable.

What are the check-in and checkout times?

Check-in is from 14:00 and checkout is until 11:00. If your flight arrives early or leaves late, message us and we'll see how we can help.

Can you pick me up at the airport?

Ask us when you book. The airport is about a 5-minute drive from the cabins.

Why book direct instead of on a platform?

Because you pay no middleman fees, you talk directly with the family, and your money stays on the island.
